Every single moment, every single day, every single year brings new insights and new wisdom into our personal and business environment. Today, in the third millennium, we have become aware that in order to achieve success for the many, we need a plethora of values, capabilities, and traits, such as knowledge, professionalism, accountability, innovation, initiative… But in order to get from the first outlines of an idea to its full realization, we need a whole lot of motivation, courage, and determination.
In our “family” called The Pedenjped Kindergarten in Novo mesto we are very well aware of this fact, that is why we are constantly searching for and implementing new scientific methods of work into our preschool education process, all the while preserving the methods that are still good and efficient.
The Pedenjped Kindergarten in Novo mesto (Novo mesto – SE Slovenia, 35.000 inhabitants) and with 2 public kindergartens with ca. 800 children aged 1 – 6 each.
Our kindergarten is different, it is modern, it is innovative and puts all its focus on the social and cognitive development of children. Our understanding of preschool education by far surpasses the national program and offers more to your child.
We offer the children a wholesome development of abilities
We are aware of the fact that we influence whole generations of children through our education process and that their future development and success in life to a large extent depends on what we do and how we do it. That is why it is our responsibility to offer your child the best we can do and thus exceed all expectations and raise preschool education to a completely new level.
With other educational institutions we run several joint projects:
- A LONG-TERM MODERN CONCEPT OF WORK IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATION – NTC SYSTEM OF LEARNING
- INTRODUCTION TO KINDERGARTEN WITH MUSIC (SPEZ method)
- LEARNING WITH MOVEMENT – FIT PEDAGOGY
We started experimental projects already in 2012 and we were constantly working on them with improvements while introducing them to various educational areas of work.
The NTC learning is a pedagogical program that is based on new findings about how our brain works: it systematically directs parents and teachers to certain playing activities with the children that importantly encourage the development of synapses during their most intense development stage (from birth to 10 or 12 years old). All the children in the group are involved in the activity. In that way the intellectual capacity of all the children is improved. All the children but particularly the gifted ones benefit from the program. The program is based on modern findings in neuro science. It develops functional cognitive skills and prevents learning problems later in school as it improves the child’s attention span, coordination, motor and graphomotor skills, photographic memory, and association memory.
We very closely monitor the NTC-learning system activities of every individual child.
Another innovation is the INTRODUCTION TO KINDERGARTEN AND SOOTHING METHOD WITH MUSIC.
We bring a lot of attention to the introductory period, implement as much music and movement as possible into the daily activities.
In this way we make sure that the children, when they go to school, are up to the challenge of further education.
Preschool education is successful when the kindergarten collaborates well with the parents, when we help each other and follow the same goal – teach the child to be independent and accountable, and to accept social rules and positive social values.
We pay most attention to our shared vision and goal, which we fulfil through play and content:
“PLAY, KNOWLEDGE, MUSIC, AND DANCE ARE OUR CHALLENGE. HAPPY CHILDREN ARE OUR GOAL.”
The most important element for an efficient development of the child is definitely a connected learning ecosystem. Together with the children we are establishing a connection with different educational institutions. With our educational partners we work to develop the child’s environmental and cultural awareness, a healthy lifestyle, and a love of physical activity through music, play, and dance. We follow what goes on in our immediate and extended environment and encourage the children to be independent. Our children co-create and take part in many celebrations, which equips them with the skill of public performance. This is definitely a skill they will need later in life.
But we never neglect our main guideline – making the children satisfied through play, dance, music, exploring, research, and happiness.
Even during the coronavirus epidemic, the employees of the kindergarten successfully established communication with children and their parents trough an online portal “Pedenj-e-igralnica”, where they performed an extraordinary number of musicals, interactive games, fairy tale readings and theatre plays.
For the upcoming school year we are preparing many different learning activities such as exploring different cultures, reading fairy tale and history books, keeping constant online communication and educating about health.
WHAT DISTINGUISHES US?
The teachers in our kindergarten wish to see the children grow up into happy, responsible, and healthy individuals. We put a lot of stress on our long-term goal of developing a positive working culture and atmosphere with our staff, which leads us to: professionalism, innovation, accountability, the European international dimension, dedicated work, and cooperation.
